About Metal Era

Metal-Era was founded as a small manufacturing plant in Waukesha, Wis., in 1980. By the late 1980s, they had grown enough to move into a 44,000-square-foot facility.

Metal-Era’s business has continued to grow rapidly, by introducing new brands like the contractor-friendly Edge Systems One and expanding into new areas like the innovative Eliminailer-T. To accommodate that growth, they’ve continued to expand their manufacturing, warehouse and administrative space, and Metal-Era now occupies more than 100,000 square feet.

In 2008, they introduced robotics into their manufacturing process to increase productivity and consistency and improve lead times. The use of robotics has enabled them to standardize the products and dramatically improve efficiencies. For customers, this means high performance products that are quick to ship.

Sixty percent of roof failures occur at the edge. So you know your roof edge must protect your roofing system – and look good doing it. You also know that fabricating metal for the roof edge on site is costly, time-consuming and risky in terms of quality. Now it’s time you knew that Metal-Era offers a better way.

Need speed? Tap into a complete selection of Metal Era products that are quick to spec, ready for immediate shipping and easy to install. Want protection? Metal Era products are engineered and tested to the strictest building codes, and backed by some of the strongest warranties in the industry.

For maximum performance, Metal Era products are ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435/ES-1 tested to comply with the International Building Code, FM tested and approved for wind uplift protection, and Miami Dade-approved to comply with the “High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code.”

As an Architect, Consultant, Contractor or Building Owner, you know that the roof edge is the first line of defense against high wind events. With Metal-Era products you can trust that the roof will be secure when you need it most, on the edge of your roof in the middle of a storm.
