Job Title: AutoCAD Designer – Commercial Building Envelope Products
Location: McKinney, Texas
Reports To: President and Design Services Manager
Compensation: $60,000+ base salary per year (depending on experience), plus benefits and annual bonus potential
Employment Type: Full-Time

CSL Materials is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for developing high-quality drawing sets and providing design support for commercial building envelope products, including tapered roof insulation systems. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal team members to deliver solutions that meet both design and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce comprehensive drawing sets, including layout plans, installation details, and other technical sketches.

  • Translate ideas, sketches, and project specifications into accurate working plans.

  • Collaborate with internal team members and customers to gather and interpret project-specific information.

  • Organize and maintain CAD detail library, title blocks, and digital file systems.

  • Prepare and communicate daily quotes for projects involving tapered roof insulation.

  • Interface directly with architects, general contractors, and roofing contractors to address design and budget concerns.

  • Follow up on project revisions and communicate with contractors to finalize and close sales.

  • Maintain accurate records of project quotes in the CRM and use it to track progress and manage follow-ups.

  • Participate in onboarding and training sessions to learn specialized software (TaperPlus) and commercial roofing systems.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required.

  • Associate degree in drafting or Certified AutoCAD User/Professional preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
